Instructors are Kevin and Stephen O’Toole

Kevin is an accomplished hunter and pistol shooter. He has hunted all parts of Alberta in many conditions, also making a trip way up north of Yellowknife NWT. to take two Caribou. Kevin has competed in handgun competitions ranging from IPSIC, PPC, to military style events and even Olympic style events. Currently has taken up the shotgun sport of Sporting Clays.

Kevin has lived in Grande Prairie for nearly fifty years; his education

  • Graduated from the GPCHS (the Comp) 1979,
  • Attended NAIT (Red Seal Machinist),
  • Attended GPRC (Computer courses, Auto Cad),
  • Hinton Forestry School Hunter Education Instructors shooting school,
  • Boone and Crockett scoring Clinic Alberta Fish And Game Association
  • 3M coaching certified Level two in both Rifle and Handgun
  • Hiked the Chilkoot Trail in 2003
  • Appointed Verifier as per the Registrar of Firearms 2010
  • Opperates Ham Radio under the call sign VE6-GUN

Attended numerous official’s training courses and on many occasions officiated at both Provincial and Nation events.

Kevin has been teaching the Canadian Firearms Safety Course since 1992, and the Alberta Hunter Education course since 1986

Kevin is a life Member with

Stephen also enjoys hunting, and the outdoors. He has been shooting competitively since the age of 12 and now taking a bit of a brake to raise a family. Still shooting handgun as a hobby, but a greater interest in long range rifle shooting.

  • Placed 3rd at the Canada Winter Games in Bathurst N.B. 2003
  • Has been named in the Alberta Sports Hall of Fame for his accomplishments in Bathurst N.B.
  • Biked the Kettle Valley  Railway in 2002, and 2004
  • Graduated in 2004
  • Attended NAIT & SAIT completing his Sheet metal trade in 2012
  • Member of the Wapiti Shooters Club since 1994
  • Competed in many Provincial and National hand gun competitions
  • Life member of Alberta Hunter Education Instructors Association (AHEIA)
  • Appointed Verifier as per the Registrar of Firearms 2010
  • Opperates Ham Radio under the call sign VE6-STO

Stephen has been teaching firearms training as well as Hunter education since 2008, but has been very involved in the industry prior to that.
